My name is GOUD Maragani and I am running to become your new Salt Lake County Clerk. I believe we need to ensure that every legal vote counts.

I am a Major in the Utah National Guard and served in Afghanistan and Kuwait. I earned my B.A. in English Literature from the University of Illinois at Chicago and my law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. I have a background serving the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Patent Office. Currently, I am the compliance attorney for a Utah company doing business in 180 countries.

As your Salt Lake County Clerk, I will work to shore up the public trust by making the voting process clear and transparent from start to finish. I will take measures to ensure clean voter rolls, secure drop-box ballots, and support poll-watching.
