The Rachel Harris Rental Assistance Program

Rachel Harris is a Single Mother and Goal Getter from Waycross, GA that faced an economic crisis due to the unpredictable death of her son's father alongside the threat of facing COVID19 in the community.

She reached out to every possible community resource agent in her area, only to discover that her county lacks support for economic relief and/or fails to allocate resources for families facing the aftermath of a major blow.

On, February 1, 2021 Mrs. Harris was referred to the CULTIVATING LIVES EDUCATIONAL SERVICES INC. for advocacy and peer support. CLES joined her efforts to connect with local organizations. After a lengthy process and a series of excuses to delay services for relief, Mrs. Harris and CLES vowed that, once Mrs. Harris cleared her own affairs, they would do what they could to help others in similar need by launching The Rachel Harris Rental Assistance Project to raise funds under the auspices of the CULTIVATING LIVES EDUCATIONAL SERVICES INC.

CLES has set a target amount of: $25,000

Target number of households expected to reach per month: 120+ families per year

The head of household will be required to complete a short application and provide a valid photo id.

Applications will be accepted beginning Monday, March 15, 2021
